South Shores Homes – Northwest Las Vegas Real Estate

South Shores in Northwest Las VegasSouth Shores is a Northwest Las Vegas Master Planned community between Summerlin and Desert Shores. Due to it’s location directly South of Desert Shores and Directly North of The Pueblo Village in Summerlin, homes in South Shores are often mistaken as being in these communities when in fact, South Shores is it’s own separate Master Planned Community. You’ll notice in the details of some of the South Shores Homes listed for sale below that some of the Community Names have the homes listed as being in Desert Shores or Summerlin when they are actually in South Shores. It’s a very common error and when you see the community, it’s easy to see why because it blends right in to Summerlin and Desert Shores. Trails and mature trees line the streets just like you are in Summerlin or Desert Shores.

A positive is that Association Dues for South Shores are half the amount than they are for the Desert Shores and The Summerlin Master Plan Association. Trails from South Shores easily lead to the trails and lakes in Desert Shores. Cross Lake Mead Pkwy into the Pueblos Village of Summerlin and you can hop right into the Summerlin Trail System in the Pueblo Park. Just be aware that purchasing a home in South Shores does not give residents access to the Desert Shores Community Pool/Beach area and South Shores homeowners will not have access to Summerlin clubhouses or community events that are restricted for Summerlin Residents only. Other than that, all of the main highlights that make Summerlin and Desert Shores highly desirable communities are easily accesible for South Shores home owners.

South Shores Community

The South Shores Community consists of a little over 1,000 homes and one Condominium community called Isla at South Shores. Planned and Developed in the late 1980’s, mature landscaping is everywhere and the South Shores community is in a very convenient location to numerous amenities. Some of the neighborhoods in South Shores are actually closer to the Desert Shores Lakeside Village than neighborhoods actually in Desert Shores. The Southern Border of South Shores is Lake Mead Parkway where you can find numerous shopping and dining options including Whole Foods, Vons, Smiths, In-N-Out Burger, Starbucks, Five Guys and numerous other options. The great dining and retail options of Tivoli Village and Boca Park (Kona Grill, Cheesecake Factory, Gordon Biersch, and the phenomenal coffee at Samballate) are only about 4 miles away along with The SunCoast and The Resort at Summerlin Casinos. Depending on traffic conditions, South Shores Homeowners can easily be in Downtown Las Vegas or the Center of the Las Vegas Strip in about 20 minutes.

South Shores is a well planned out community within the Boundaries of the City of Las Vegas and rest assured, many people and even the less experienced Las Vegas Real Estate agents that go through the community think they are in Summerlin or Desert Shores.
